Install Cpanel On Ubuntu Server Iso

This document lists the minimum requirements to install cPanel & WHM. An Ubuntu server that meets only these requirements may not function properly, especially when under a heavy load.

You must log in to the server as the root user in order to install cPanel & WHM. If you do not possess root-level access, contact your system administrator or hosting provider for assistance.

Before the installation process begins, the system checks to ensure that your server meets these minimum memory requirements. If your server does not meet these requirements, the installation process will return an error message and then exit.

Perl must exist on your server before the installation script for cPanel & WHM can run successfully. If Perl does not exist during installation, the cPanel & WHM installer attempts to install Perl via the apt -y install perl perl-base command.

As we tell in most of our tutorials that before installing any server software platform, run the system update command that will make sure all the existing packages have their latest versions and also rebuild the systems repo cache.

1. Ensure that your server has a standard hostname (FQDN or Fully Qualified Domain Name), otherwise set it as follows (in this example, cpanel is the hostname and tecmint.lan is the domain name):

5. Now, run the auto installer script. Note that if you have logged in the server using SSH, we strongly recommend running cPanel auto installer script in screen mode, because it takes 40-60 mins to complete the installation depending on your server resources and Internet connection speeds.

In cases where your server hardware is incompatible with any version of RHEL/CentOS/AlmaLinux and CloudLinux OS or our components - we will not be able to provide assistance in adding such hardware support or solving possible issues related to such installation.

To install osTicket, your web server must have PHP 8.x and MySQL 5.0 (or better) installed. If you are unsure whether your server meets these requirements, please check with your host or webmaster before proceeding with the installation.

VHCS is an open source solution released under the Mozilla Public License 1.1 (MPL 1.1) and it appears to be a live and ready to go open source solution. For mission critical servers this might be the choice of system for this reason only. It is a sourceforge.net project so downloading should be simple even if installation is not.

I'm using ISPConfig in my staging development server since years and works just fine!. It's actively developed and really easy to install and use. To "reinstall" your cloud server, you must create a new cloud server instance. This process will irrevocably destroy your current cloud server instance. Because of this, it is essential (if possible) to create a backup of the data on your current system. Hostwinds cannot stress the importance of this enough, as when the "reinstall" occurs, you will remove all the old data, and you will not be able to retrieve it again.

Confirm that you would like to install after you have made your choice. Note that in doing so, you will delete the current instance of your server, including all data on this server. Therefore, it is vital to back up all data you wish to keep.

You should have an installed Linux server running one of the supported OS. Make sure you select your server's OS in the tabbed options below. Choice of web server is your preference, NGINX is recommended.

That's it! You now should be able to log in to Please note that we have not covered HTTPS setup in this example, so your LibreNMS install is not secure by default. Please do not expose it to the public Internet unless you have configured HTTPS and taken appropriate web server hardening steps.

SteamCMD is the command-line version of the Steam client. Its primary use is to install and update dedicated servers available on Steam. LinuxGSM integrates seamlessly with SteamCMD leaving no requirement for you to manage it.

iRedMail is another fully open source email server solution that lets you install a full-featured email server in a few minutes. It installs and configures the popular open source email components like Postfix, Dovecot, Amavisd and - of course Roundcube - on major Linux and BSD distrubutions.

mailcow is an open source mail server suite for groupware/email purposes that can be installed in a fresh Debian/Ubuntu instance. Be aware that Guacamole is a remote desktop gateway, and cannot access your desktop's display without a remote desktop server of some kind to connect to. Guacamole does not contain its own VNC or RDP server, and these installation procedures will not walk you through the installation of a VNC or RDP server.

Recent versions of Debian and Ubuntu have a recent-enough version of FreeRDP and include libguac-client-rdp0, but if you're using an older version of Debian (such as Debian 6.0 a.k.a. "squeeze"), you will have to either do without RDP support or install FreeRDP and guacamole-server manually, without using your distribution's packages.

Depending on which protocols you require support for, you will need to install one of the libguac-client-* packages to provide support for those protocols. Most users will want at least libguac-client-vnc. If you want SSH support, or access to RDP servers, you will need to install libguac-client-ssh or libguac-client-rdp respectively.

In order to build guacamole-server, you will need Cairo, a graphics library, and libpng, the official PNG library. These libraries are strictly required in all cases. Guacamole cannot be built without them. The other dependencies of guacamole-server are optional. Which libraries you will need to install depends on what support you need.

Once the guacamole-server source has been downloaded and extracted, you need to run configure. This is a shell script automatically generated by GNU Autotools, a popular build system used by the Guacamole project for guacamole-server. Running configure will determine which libraries are available on your system and will select the appropriate components for building depending on what you actually have installed.

If you use the DigitalOcean referral code, you'll get $100 credit - two months worth of free server:

Your server must have Docker installed on it. If you get your server from DigitalOcean, you can select a server with CapRover one-click app and everything will be installed for you automatically. Otherwise, you can install Docker CE by following this instruction. Note that your Docker version needs to be, at least, version 17.06.x.

Let's say you own mydomain.com. You can set *.something.mydomain.com as an A-record in your DNS settings to point to the IP address of the server where you installed CapRover. Note that it can take several hours for this change to take into effect. It will show up like this in your DNS configs:
